“Qui que tu sois, voici ton maître;
Il l'est, le fut ou le doit être!”
Voltaire, à propos de l’amour. Victor Hugo, à propos de Paris.
Exactly one year ago I was in Paris Eiffel Tower Paris Eiffel Tower

In Late January, I spent some days in Paris doing interviews, being hosted at Rana's place, and I somehow felt the same.
It was 2 years since I left Paris, I walked alone on the evening, while Rana was working, for two consecutives days, and I just remembered the 18 months that I lived there, with no doubt one of the best epochs in my life. I also thought about how my life had changed since then. I walked through exactly the same places I used to walk skating and remembered every moment that I had lived 18 months before.
As I promised myself when I left Paris that 28 February of 2005, I know for sure that this time, a day of January 2007, wouldnt be the last time. Again, I will come back to Paris and I will do the same parcour, and again, I will think about how my life has changed since the last time.
Undoubtedly, this city marked my life, as I think it did for Paco

Thanks for your comment, Victor.
They certainly were beautiful days and they yielded great memories. Hopefully, sometime in the future we’ll be able to relive them, and maybe even improve upon them.
I guess we both shared the same kind of feelings during our last moments in Paris. Actually, if I remember correctly, I think that the guy from “L’Auberge Espagnole” experiences something similar as well at the end of the first movie, when he walks through the streets of Barcelona and realizes that many of the spots that pass him by have acquired a special meaning during his time there.
Big hug from Baltimore!
