"When you set out on your journey to Ithaca,
pray that the road is long,
full of adventure, full of knowledge.
The Lestrygonians and the Cyclops,
the angry Poseidon - do not fear them:
You will never find such as these on your path,
if your thoughts remain lofty, if a fine
emotion touches your spirit and your body.
Pray that the road is long.
That the summer mornings are many, when,
with such pleasure, with such joy
you will enter ports seen for the first time..."
Spring Break is here and some traveling is in order. This year, Mexico City is the chosen destination. For the last few days, I have been dreaming of mariachis, tequilas, pre-Aztec pyramids and Rivera’s masterpieces being painted under the gaze of a semi-naked Kahlo. “El DF” awaits. El Zócalo, Insurgentes, Plaza Garibaldi, Teotihuacán,... they are all experiences that dwell inside my brain and that shiver with anticipation; they look forward to being lived. The adventure begins tomorrow. ¡Nos vemos en México! ;-)
may you have a pleasant journey, my friend.
Pásalo en grande, Paco. Y dale un abrazo a Alvar de mi parte, si al final le ves.
