The last day before David’s return to Spain, we went – together with Marta, Flavia and Cesar - to see a concert by ‘The Killers’ at the Merriweather Post Pavillion in Columbia.
El día antes de que David regresara a España, fuimos con Marta, Flavia y Cesar a ver un concierto de ‘The Killers’ al Merriweather Post Pavillion en Columbia.
I must confess that just a few months ago I had no idea at all of who ‘The Killers’ were. I had heard their hit ‘Human’ several times at different places, but I never associated the name of the band with the song. After Marta suggested going to see them live, I started to listen to their music, and I ended up enjoying it quite a lot.
He de reconocer que hasta hace un par de meses no conocía nada de este grupo. Sin saberlo, había escuchado (o más bien oído) su canción ‘Human’ en varios sitios, pero nunca asocié la canción con el nombre del grupo. Cuando Marta propuso ir a verlos en directo, me dio por escuchar su música y la verdad es que ahora es un grupo que me gusta bastante.
It turns out that the group is quite popular right now, as I learnt when I heard their song ‘Spaceman’ being played on a radio station while I was in Spain this summer.
Al parecer, el grupo esta muy de moda ultimamente, como tuve occasion de comprobar este verano cuando escuch’e la cancion ‘Spaceman’ en la radio estando en la piscina municipal de Aranjuez.
At the concert, they put up a pretty good show. I missed the song ‘Neon Tiger’, which is a personal favorite, but I really liked their live versions of ‘This is your life’ and ‘All these things that I´ve done’.
Durante el concierto, ofrecieron un buen espectáculo. Eché en falta la canción ‘Neon Tiger’, del último disco, que es una de mis favoritas, pero aun así me quedé contento con las que tocaron (entre las que yo destacaría ‘This is your life’ y ‘All these things that I´ve done’).
In the end, it was a great evening and we had a lot of fun. Still, in terms of live concerts the best is yet to come within the next few weeks... stay tuned!
Al final, lo pasamos muy bien y volvimos a casa muy contentos. Aún así, el otoño se presenta cargadito de conciertos y lo mejor está todavía por llegar... seguiremos informando.
